  1. I think how well a particular cut looks on someone depends on their face shape. I’ve noticed that people that have longer/oval face shapes tend to be able to pull off a larger variety of cuts. While I don’t plan on cutting my hair again anytime soon, I was always a huge fan of my hair when it was shorter because I didn’t have to spend a lot of time styling.

Also, when people consider getting a layered or tapered cut, they should consider how they plan to style their hair or how manageable their hair will be long after they leave the salon.

    1. You’re absolutely right! The shape of your face plays an important role. This is something every professional hairdresser keeps telling their customers or at least should tell them. Of course it’s also a matter of personal preferences. I personally prefer longer hair on myself as you can do anything you like with long hair. With short hair, the choice of hairstyles is very limited, but as you said, one of the benefits of short hair is that you don’t have to spend so much time on styling it. As a matter of fact, one should make sure to get a haircut which suits them best. That way one can prevent or at least lower the risk of regretting their choice. Cheers, Ruya

  2. Hi! I like the new looks for the fall season. I think there are a lot of short hair styles for the cold weather. Wouldn’t it be better to have more hair? There are a lot of different hairstyles and I hope people actually go out and use these wonderful hair styles.

    1. Hi Peter! There is a huge selection of different haircuts that are suitable for this season, which makes it a lot easier for people to find their very own perfect haircut as some people prefer short hair while others want to maintain their long hair. I think both the short as well as the long haircuts that I’ve listed are beautiful and stylish for this season. Everybody is unique in their own way, that’s why everyone should get their own unique haircut and hairstyle. I hope these haircuts will inspire many people. Regards, Ruya

  3. I love all of these styles. I have really curly hair and I had to cut it super short because of a prescription I was taking caused it to fall out. It is now growing back….slowly 🙁  But I was wondering if you have any favorite cuts for curly hair like mine, where I don’t need to constantly straighten it. Once it is longer, then I think I could do the messy lob. I think that is probably the most obtainable for me right now.

    1. Hi Matt’s Mom! I see… I’d say it’s probably better to let your hair grow without putting too much stress on it by using styling tools like hair straighteners etc… Just a reminder because I’ve been there myself. You might want to check out these haircuts for curly hair: https://www.stylecraze.com/art… My personal favorites are the “Short layered Bob on dented curls” and the “Short texturized layers and curls” but it all comes down to your personal preferences and also to the shape of your face. Hope this helps! All the best, Ruya

  4. OMG! There are so many types of haircuts for women? I can’t wait to show your article to my GF who will be so happy with me! Personally I think NO. 3 Sleek, Straight And Short Crop will suit her most. However, as you know, ladies know the best. Thank you Ruya for showing me a way to request my GF to think about changing her looks.

    1. Hi GeeEss! Yes, there are way too many haircuts for women – what an agony of choice, right? I hope your girlfriend will feel inspired by all these haircuts and find one that suits her best. All the best, Ruya

  5. I prefer a longer hair cut in the winter, more hair to keep you warm and a nice short cut for the summertime when it gets really hot. I have had a couple of these differents styles throughout the years, it’s nice to change it up every once in a while.

    1. Hi Shy! As you said, longer hair is probably the better choice for the cold days in winter as you won’t always have to wear a beanie or a scarf to keep your head and neck warm. During summer, wearing short hair is probably the better option in terms of your own comfort as you don’t have to sweat so much. Anyways, changing your hairstyle every now and then can be real fun and a welcome change. Regards, Ruya
