If eyes are the window to your soul, brows must be the curtains. Perfectly shaped eyebrows are the highlight on one’s face. They frame and lift your features and can even change your entire face. Not long ago, pencil-shaped eyebrows used to be #browgoals while thick brows à la Cara Delevingne are the new trend now.
Have you ever over plucked your eyebrows and now regret picking up the tweezers? If yes, you know exactly what I’m talking about. But don’t worry – we’ve all been there! In this article, I am going to show you how to regrow your eyebrows in a jiffy and make them reach their full potential.
#1 Stop Plucking Or Waxing Your Eyebrows!
The first thing you will have to do is to bid farewell to your tweezers. Plucking and waxing your eyebrows can damage the hair follicles eternally in the worst case.
If you stick to this rule and stop waxing or plucking your eyebrows, you will allow your brows to grow back naturally. I know this may sound like a big deal to some of you, but at least try to wait until you notice an ample brow growth.
#2 Always Use The Right Tools
Using the right tools for shaping your eyebrows will make a huge difference. With angled tweezers, you can pluck your eyebrows more precise. First things first: always use brow-sized scissors for trimming your eyebrows instead of regular ones!
#3 Exfoliate Your Skin
By exfoliating your skin, especially around your eyebrows, dead skin will be removed and it will become much easier to find single hairs. You can do this by massaging your skin with a toothbrush that has soft bristles, but make sure to be gentle in order to avoid irritations.
#4 Include Vitamin B And D
Eating foods that are rich in Vitamin B and D is of utmost importance as they affect your physical appearance and improve hair growth. This will help you grow strong eyebrows as well as eyelashes.
#5 Use An Eyebrow Serum
Plucking your eyebrows can make your hairs get stuck in the resting phase of the hair growth cycle. Using an eyebrow serum will stimulate hair growth as it contains peptides as ingredients and helps push the hairs from the resting phase into the active growth phase.
#6 Eat Healthy Foods
A diet rich in Biotin, Niacin, Omega fatty acids, Protein, Vitamin B, D and E will promote a healthy brow growth.
Drinking enough water is good for your overall health as it removes all the toxins from your body. You should incorporate at least 8-10 glasses of water into your diet to improve hair growth.
#8 Massage Your Eyebrows
Give your eyebrows a facial massage to improve blood circulation around the eyebrow area. This will naturally stimulate hair growth.
#9 Use A Concealer
If you want to create shape for the brows in transition, you can use a concealer on stray hairs to hide extra brow hairs instead of grabbing the tweezers.
#10 Stay Away From Creams And Lotions
Using creams and lotions can clog the hair follicles as they prevent the natural breathing process of your hair. That way your eyebrows won’t be able to grow out properly.
#11 Comb Your Brows To Stimulate Hair Growth
Brushing your eyebrows will help stimulate the blood capillaries and thereby increase the blood circulation and the transportation of nutrients and oxygen to the stem, root and the bulb of your hair.
#12 Castor Oil
Since castor oil is rich in antioxidants, fatty acids, proteins and vitamins, it is one of the most effective remedies for growing thicker eyebrows. Apply castor oil on your eyebrow roots by massaging a few drops into your eyebrows.
Let it sit for 30 minutes, wipe it away with a makeup remover and wash your face with lukewarm water. Repeat the same procedure every day.
Note: Make sure to perform a patch test before applying castor oil to your brows as it can cause irritations if you are allergic.
Milk is used in many skincare products as it contains casein and whey, two proteins that are essential for hair growth. Grab a cotton ball and soak it in milk. Gently massage your eyebrows with the cotton ball and let it sit for 15 minutes before washing it with water.
#14 Coconut Oil
Coconut oil helps improve blood circulation as its fatty acids work with the natural proteins in your hair. The proteins and nutrients in coconut oil promote thick and healthy eyebrows.
Take a cotton bud and dip in the coconut oil. Gently apply it on your eyebrows and keep it overnight before rinsing it the next morning.
Lemons make your eyebrows grow faster as they contain folic acid, Vitamin B, C and other nutrients that are essential for hair growth. Simply rub a piece of lemon onto your eyebrows. Keep it on for 20 minutes and then wash it off with warm water.
Note: If you happen to have sensitive skin, skip this procedure and use another remedy instead. Also, make sure not to expose your eyebrows to sunlight for at least 2 hours after applying lemon to your brows as sunlight can lighten its color.
#16 Olive Oil
Olive oil is another effective remedy as it contains Vitamin A and E, which are essential Vitamins for hair growth. Pour a drop of olive oil on your fingertip and apply it on your brows. Let it sit for a couple of hours before washing it off with water.
#17 Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera rejuvenates hair and promotes hair growth. If you have excess sebum, applying Aloe Vera to your skin will help reduce too much oil and open up the pores, which will encourage eyebrow growth. Simply massage the gel into your eyebrows and wait until it gets absorbed.
As you can see, there are many ways to regrow your eyebrows. Although the whole procedure might feel like an excruciating waiting game to you sometimes, it is definitely worth the wait as the results will be amazing.
If you follow these simple remedies, you will start to see your eyebrows growing within a few weeks. Make your #browgoals become reality!
